After you meet your guide you will then continue to Akrotiri excavations,one of the most important archaeological sites in the world,that has been buried for 3700 years and uncovered only 30 years ago. The Santorini Shore Excursion then departs for the town of Oia, which offers more extraordinary,breathtaking panoramic sea views and a wonderful mix of traditional and Venetian architecture. Santorini is also well know for it’s local grapes and wine. If you are a wine lover you will also have the opportunity to visit a local winery and learn more about the tradition and history of wine-making in Santorini, as well as a chance to taste and purchase the world famous Santorini wine.

In case you are not an avid wine lover the winery tour can be replaced by a visit to Pyrgos village one of island’s traditional villages inhabited by locals. Your Santorini local guide will walk you around Pyrgos village so you can see and smell the local atmosphere of the island far from the busy touristic areas.
